How Our Toothache Healed
(While Waiting for the Dentist)

Recently, my friend "Al" came over to stay the night as he often does. Only this time he'd been suffering from a toothache for about a week.

Unable to afford a private dentist, and worried about seeing the government dental service before a mainland trip, he was reduced to relying on pain killers.

Now it so happened that I was experiencing some minor but persistent dental pain too and had booked a dental appointment for a couple of weeks' time.

Later that night I offered Al a Reconnective Healing session. "We'll see what happens, at least it can't hurt!"

He accepted.

There were the usual registers, so I knew something was happening, some healing decisions were being made at some level, although I wasn't privy to his inner world.

The next day I rang Al to wish him well on his mainland tour. He said the pain had completely gone! Then I realized that my pain had gone too!

My dental exam a couple of weeks later was pretty interesting. My dentist was a little shocked at the state of some of my teeth (that's another story) and even more surprised that I was not in pain.

It's got me thinking about Reconnective Healing in a new light. Maybe the fact that our pains dissolve - or not - is simply a side effect of the real purpose of our healing: to evolve; to ascend.

And what does ascension mean? Maybe it means to move to a higher awareness of the reality of this Universe we live in; that it really is based on Love, not fear; Light, not darkness; Truth not confusion.

Depending on what we choose.
